Sarah Palin's Glasses
By Suzanne Hughes
Political views aside, it would be tough to argue that the Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, does not look great in her glasses. What is the secret to finding a pair of glasses that make you look smart and sexy all at the same time? The answer may surprise you.
It not the actual frames that make the look. It is how well the frames contrast the face shape that makes all the difference. In Palins case, her frames that she is most seen wearing are light and delicate, sometimes even rimless. This is what gives her that subtle look of sophistication. Remember that a pair of eyeglasses are always between your eyes and the person you are talking to (and in Palins case, her audience). So she wants a very light style that will not draw attention away from her speech. Rather these light frames enhance her look and give a little mystery at the same time.
Regarding the shape of her frames, she wears mostly rectangular eyeglasses with temples that join the lenses in the upper two thirds of the lens. With temples that meet the lenses high, the glasses appear lower on her face. This way her eyebrows are still on top of and outline the top half of the frame.
Her face shape is classified as oval. People with Oval face shapes have an advantage over most other face shapes when it comes to glasses because almost any face shape can work.
The idea when matching face shapes to eyewear is to look for contrasting details. For example, someone with a round face will do well with angled glasses. In Governor Palins case, she has a rounded oval shape. Notice how she wears angled rectangular shaped eyewear?
By doing this, her natural features are highlighted. The bottom line is that Sarah Palin can wear most any delicate frame with a rectangular shape and look good in them.
The key takeaway for you is not to look for identical glasses to Palin. It is to understand your face shape and learn what style frames go well with it. In general there are four face shapes. Those are oval, round, square, and heart (or inverted triangle). There are more, but most people fall in to one of these categories.
Once you know your shape, figure out which frames go will with that look. Remember contrasting shapes looks best. And you want a frame that fits. Normally a pair of glasses that is about the same overall width of your face will fit very well.
That is all there is to it, eyewear is a fun fashion accessory that is often overlooked. But it is the one accessory that can completely transform your look in an instant.

About Sarah Palin
By M. Allen
Many in the United States were shocked when John McCain announced to the world that Sarah Palin, the sitting governor of the state of Alaska and a former mayor of a small town, was his choice as his running mate in his effort to become the President of the United States. Sarah Palin has been surprising people all her life though and is one of the more interesting national figures in recent history. A great deal is now known about this fascinating person, but here are three things you may not know about Sarah Palin.
1. Before a career in politics, one of the highlights of Sarah Palin's life was running for and finishing in second place in the race for the title of Miss Alaska.
2. When she won the position of Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska in the 1999 election her winning vote total was just 909 votes.
3. Sarah Palin is best known as being the Governor of Alaska, but she was both born in and graduated from college in the state of Idaho.
With her meteoric rise in popularity since being selected by John McCain to be on the Republican national ticket in the 2008 presidential election, Sarah Palin's name will go down in history and not soon be forgotten. Many people admire this self described hockey mom, while others claim that she is not ready for such high public office. Whichever the case, Governor Palin is easily one of the more fascinating national political figures in recent history. Sarah Palin is truly someone the entire country will be keeping their eyes on.
Mark Allen oves to dig up little known information about public figures, places, things, and more and post them online at 7Things.info. The election is over but Sarah Palin is not. Who was she? She was a mother, wife, soccer mom, athlete, fisherman and governor of Alaska. She dressed well, looked pretty, worked hard and did some wonderful things for the residents of Alaska. She did not ask to run for Vice President. She did not spend thousands of dollars on her clothes. She did not get an abortion when she knew her baby would be developmentally challenged. She had courage, fortitude and foresight.
Today she is still governor, she is still pretty. She is still a mom and wife. She obviously does not care about fancy clothes as they were all returned. They dressed her up, tried to change her demeanor, and also her attitude. They succeed in dressing her up, changing her appearance a little ...but never her attitude. Yes, she played by most of the rules, and did what she was told. Loved by all the people? Not be a long shot, however there were thousands who came out to hear her speak. That will never be forgotten. She is back in her home town, governing away at her very best. How come Alaska has enough surplus dollars to give back to the citizens? It does make you kind of wonder about things in our 48 contiguous states.
What does tomorrow hold for this upbeat, aggressive, altruistic leader? Some are talking about 2012. It seems like she is pretty darn happy to be home and back at her desk. She has a lot of work to do, and she is at it again. Her family remained intact. No, her family is not perfect, but whose family is?
Predictions....Keep your eyes open for 2012. I think it is a very good possibility that we will be seeing Sarah Palin drawing the crowds once again.

Learn About the Iditarod Race and Dog Mushing in Alaska
By Diane Gray
In Alaska, the official state sport is dog sled racing. Alaskans have always appreciated the reliability and historic value of the old ways of dog sledding. Mechanical transportation such as snow machines and snow mobiles are of course very important to the people of Alaska, but many still keep their own dog teams. Some folks like to keep 2 to 10 sled dogs simply for the joy of recreational mushing, while other keep their teams for working and sled racing competition.
The celebration of Alaskan dog sled racing and mushing racing ranges from the local club meets to the world championships. These races are held throughout the winter months. The mushing races use teams of 7-16 dogs. The teams are not allowed to replace any dog during the race and the cumulative times for the heats determine the winner. Speed races are normally run for about 12-30 miles and last about two to three days. Much excitement accompanies these events. Long distance races are probably the most famous ones of all. They include the Yukon Quest and the Iditarod.
These dog teams and their mushers not only compete against the other teams, but they also have to contend with the harsh elements of the Alaskan countryside. Sometimes a musher and his dog team can find themselves in the middle of a dangerous snow storm. If this happen, winning the race may take a backseat and survival in turn becomes a priority. It is reported in the past races that some mushers would sacrifice their chances of winning to help out a fellow musher and his dogs that unfortunately got stranded in the killer storm and needed help. There are other perils along the trail however. Moose will attack the dogs, and straying off course can both become problems. Also, an illness of the musher or his dogs is possible, and the sheer exhaustion and physical exertion of the race can certainly take its toll.
Of all the dog sled races, the Iditarod race probably gets the most national press and is the most known by Americans and people from all over the world. It follows the old mail route which started in Knik, just north of Anchorage and continued northwest to finish in Nome. This old mail route was blazed in 1910. The modern Iditarod race runs about 1,100 miles and crosses two mountain ranges. It also follows the Yukon River for about 150 miles and runs through several villages. The trail even crosses the pack ice on Norton Sound! As you can imagine, this race is truly a test of physical and mental strength and determination! With all of the obstacles that a musher and his dogs must face and overcome, you can imagine the thrill and excitement of the winner and all of the other teams who ran and/or finished this historic race! One of the most famous runs of all on this old mail trail took place in 1925 when Leonhard Seppala and his dog team brought thousands of precious units of the life-saving Diphtheria serum to Nome, Alaska where an epidemic broke out. Nowadays, snowmobiles and helicopters replace the dog sled for this job, but at that time, the brash and brave lifesaving run by Seppala was a godsend to the distressed people of Nome.
The Iditarod race was conceived and organized in 1967 by Joe Redington Sr. and Dorothy Page of Wasilla, Alaska. The first races only covered 56 miles, but then in 1973 it was lengthened to today's 1,100 miles. In 1973, the Iditarod race started in Anchorage on March 3rd. It ended on April 3rd in Nome. This race has been run every year since then. Several years later, Congress designated the Iditarod race as a National Historic Trail in 1976. Dog mushing and the Iditarod race in Alaska bring a romantic notion in people's minds about the old ways of survival and transportation in the far north. It is reassuring to know that dog mushers and their wonderful and brave dog teams are still running the trails today. The special reminder of this tradition is the Iditarod race, which forged its own place in American history. For information on training your dog, you can visit http://www.sitandheel.com

Sarah Palin, Hockey Mom
Sarah Palin, Hockey Mom, Super Hero, Action Figure
By Mark Doyle
Whether you like her politics or not, Sarah Palin is quite a story. She is the governor of Alaska and the Republican vice presidential nominee in the 2008 presidential election. She was on the Wasilla, Alaska city council from 1992 to 1996 and mayor from 1996 to 2002.
She chaired the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission from 2003 to 2004. She was elected governor of Alaska in November 2006, becoming the first woman and the youngest person to hold the position in Alaska.
All that is very impressive but now she has become something she can be really proud of. That's right Sarah Palin has been immortalized with her own action figure.
Move over Obama and McCain posters and campaign buttons. This may be even bigger than the "I like Ike" campaign button.
Yes the Sarah Palin action figure has arrived. The dolls are the latest in a line of American political candidates who have been immortalized including John McCain and Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
The Sarah Palin action figure comes in two different styles. The super hero ready to take on Washington, And the business style with a skirt so short it could get her thrown out of any board room.
The doll is made of high quality plastic, it looks just like her, and will no doubt become a collectable. The Sarah Palin action figure may go down in history as the most popular political campaign item of all time. Congratulations to Sarah Palin on her new action figure and place in political memorabilia history.

Sarah Palin
By Suzanne Hughes Platinum Quality Author
One of the interesting aspects of the 2008 American presidential elections is the Sarah Palin glasses. Women in America who are going for prescription eye glasses are increasingly opting for Sarah Palin glasses.
These glasses have come to the limelight owing to their unique and interesting design. They come without a rim and look sleek and elegant. Set in a Kawasaki standard frame, these glasses are custom made and come in conservative styles. Kawasaki 704 and a 34 gray color is the exact combination of the glasses used by Sarah Palin.
Sarah was a conservative presidential nominee who has brought in the craze of designer eyeglasses among American women. The frame of her glasses has seen phenomenal success overnight and Sarah takes the Oscar for the way she carries her glasses in absolutely stunning elegance and style. In fact, the glasses on her eyes look as if they are without a frame and are just placed in front of her eyes. This provides an absolutely stunning effect as she steps out in public. Sarah Palin glasses are now a fashion statement with more and more women wanting to possess one.
As expected, a whole range of designer glasses named after Sarah Palin have been released in the market by manufacturers of eyeglasses. Best Price Glasses supply the entire range of Sarah Palin glasses. They are one of the leading manufacturers of prescription eye glasses.
Sarah is the Governor of Alaska. She is endowed with a unique face structure which combines with the frame of her glasses to produce one of the most stunning effects, attracting attention wherever she goes. An absolutely charming and elegant style statement goes along everywhere she goes. Sarah exudes a subtle and attractive sophistication with the help of her glasses.
Sarah's efforts in making sure her glasses should not attract attention away from her speech as this was the only thing between her and her audiences resulted in the designing of one of the most talked about pair of glasses in the history of America. Elegant, mysterious, charming and unique aptly describes Sarah Palin glasses.
These glasses are attached in the upper part of the lens with temples and are shaped rectangular. This design makes it look as if the glasses are lower than what they actually are. The angled rectangular shape of glasses effectively complements Sarah's perfect oval shaped face, with her eye brows exactly on top of the frame which forms an outline over he upper part of the lens.
Sarah Palin with her unique face structure and a more unique eye glass design has practically created a sensation, especially with the American women. Today these glasses are so popular that people have started wearing them all over the country.
While the glasses are very attractive, it is important however to remember that each face is unique in shape and structure and not every glass suits everyone. A good looking eyewear which suits you is sure to make you feel good and practically transform your appearance. So, choosing the right eyeglasses with the shape that suits you best will make you look as good as Sarah Palin.

Regular People Move to Non-Traditional Careers
Many people subconsciously think description of a hockey mom completes her resume and dismiss her as not being qualified for the position so close to becoming president of the USA. They usually have amnesia that she possess executive experience, first as a mayor of Wasilla Alaska, and currently the Governor of Alaska.
I search the internet and found few positive comments about Governor Palin.
The one positive comment that I found was from Ted Nugent. Sarah Palin Is My Girl

7 Quick and Easy Dinner Time Ideas
It’s 6:00 p.m. the kids are hungry, homework needs to be done, you’re stressed and then they ask… “Mom, what’s for dinner?”
It’s not easy juggling our busy lives while trying to feed our families a hot nutritious dinner everyday. These 7 quick and easy dinner ideas will help take the stress out of family meal times.
1 – Plan a Menu – This does take a little organizing ahead of time but it’s definitely worth the effort. Find a few minutes during the weekend and plan your meals for the upcoming week. Write a quick menu, do your shopping and stick the menu on your fridge. Every morning quickly glance at it and take out the foods that need thawing and plan ahead how much time you need to prepare the meal.
2 – Befriend the Crockpot – Okay, this little invention may not be the coolest kitchen gadget around but it can definitely be a lifesaver. With a little planning you can have a nutritious dinner ready before the kids can even say “mom…”
3 – The Casserole is Back – Similar to the crockpot but great for days when you forget to plan ahead. Casseroles work great with leftovers or just about any items you can find in your pantry. Throw together some pasta, tuna, corn kernels, peas and cream for a quick meal. Casseroles made with rice or potatoes are just as easy. Keep a few easy recipes on hand and add or omit ingredients according to what you have in your pantry.
4 – Easy, Versatile, Pasta – By far the easiest way to quickly throw together a healthy family dinner. To avoid boredom try to avoid the usual jar of sauce and pasta dinner. Try this, heat two tablespoons of olive oil over very low heat and add one crushed garlic bulb, stir for about a minute and add a can of drained crab meat, the juice of one lemon and a little salt and pepper to taste, and finally add a little chopped cilantro or parsley. Serve over your pasta with some garlic bread on the side for a delicious meal in minutes.
5 – Eggs Incredible Eggs – Eggs aren’t only for breakfast, they’re also great for quick dinners. Make an omelet and fill with a little ham and cheese, you can also add some chopped tomato, onions or mushrooms. Serve along with a salad and some bread. Or make a Spanish tortilla. Scrub, peel and thinly slice a couple of new or small potatoes. Add to a sauce pan with a little water and boil until soft, about 8 minutes. Add a little oil to a nonstick frying pan, add the potatoes, scramble eggs and a little chopped onion (optional) cook on low until the bottom starts to set. Then stick the frying pan under a hot grill until the top of the tortilla sets. Serve with a side salad.
6 – Sandwich Bar – Some days you just don’t have the time or energy to cook a hot meal, but you can still feed your family a nutritious meal in the way of sandwiches. Put out some bread rolls (whole wheat is best), add a platter of cheese, ham, turkey, tuna or any other favorite fillings. Add another platter of chopped lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and any other favorite veggies. Now let your kids put together their own sandwiches. Serve with some pretzels, a salad or cut up veggies and dip, a little hopeful but worth a try.
7 – Wrap It – Wraps are great for quick dinners. You fill them with just about anything. For a Mexican wrap cook a little ground beef, drain and fill wrap. Add some chopped tomatoes, grated cheese, sour cream or guacamole. You can also fill it with a little heated tuna with some corn kernels and a little mayonnaise or try scrambled eggs, chopped ham and tomatoes. Leftover chicken with cheese and lettuce works great too.
