What ia SarahPAC?

SarahPAC and Sarah Palin Comin' Atcha!

By Taylor Raimee

It has been very entertaining reading, listening to and watching the responses of people on both sides of the political aisle when SarahPAC-the new political action committee connected to Sarah Palin - was revealed.

The state reasons for the new committee is centered around becoming energy independent, evidently the center from which Sarah Palin will move forward with whatever political aspirations she may have beyond being Governor of Alaska.

On the-SarahPAC-website it says-SarahPAC-came into existence because "the Republican Party is at the threshold of an historic renaissance that will build a better future for all. Health care, education, and reform of government are among our key goals."

Along with her focus on energy independence, Governor Palin also talks a lot about integrity of government and political candidates, along with battling to retain the freedoms we enjoy, while also being creative and innovative in governing. Palin has of course walked the walk as she helped to clean up some of the corruption in Alaska politics, even when it involved her own party members.

Part of the mission of-SarahPAC-will be to raise funds for political candidates with a similar vision for the country as Sarah Palin, as well as support them and help them to win the races they're running in.

As the Senator Saxby Chambliss can say through experience, having Sarah Palin on your side and backing you can be the difference between winning and losing.

This is why this should be an exciting committee to watch to see what Governor Palin and her supporters do with it. Palin could possibly do more to change national politics in both parties with what she does with SarahPAC, than if she even wins the presidency in the future, if she decides to run for it.

Birthing a new generation of conservative candidates who are tired of politics as usual will change the political landscape without a doubt.

Palin has as much popularity as any conservative candidate since Ronald Reagan. Now she seems to have a platform and vehicle to not only use it for helping further her political career, but more importantly, to motivate a potential army of future politicians that embrace the same values she does.

This, more than anything, is what truly scares her opponents; both within and without her party. Sarah Palin is going to shake things up whether she ever goes beyond being governor of Alaska, and that will probably be more important and lasting than anything she achieves individually. Either way, it's not going to be boring over the next four to eight years with politics in America.

Sarah Palin and SarahPAC are already shaking up people, and it's barely gotten off the ground. That speaks a lot to the power and influence she wields.
