He shows a summary of the life of Sara Palin up to the her selection by Senator McCain as his running mate as VP. Then George interviews her with questions of the previous year "2008"

George - As we get to the end of 2008 look back at your year?

Gov Palin _ Pretty amazing year, pretty amazing year, yeah, amazing enough for a number of personal things that have happened to me, having a baby. My son going off to war in Iraq, my oldest son, yeah just a lot of personal things have happened and throw in there also the run for Vice President of America. Yeah that thing too. It's been a great year.

George - It's been highs and lows I can imagine though?

Gov Palin - Yeah, a bit of a roller coaster there, but over all it's been a blessed year.

2009 Special Olympics and Sarah Palin

"[Obama] thinks that the Special Olympics are a wonderful program that gives an opportunity to shine to people with disabilities from around the world," Deputy Press Secretary Bill Burton told reporters, adding that Obama only meant the comment to be a be a funny quip about his poor bowling skills, according to The Associated Press.

Governor Sarah Palin stated "I did not know what to expect when I learned that our child would be born with Down's Syndrome, it was a kaleidoscope of emotions, one minute, so elated, the next one pretty apprehensive, confident one moment, then uncertain and I was excited and I was scared. But when Trig finally entered the world all of those conflicting emotions came into sharp focus, and we knew that everything was going to be okay. When I first held Trig, it was like an hour glass turned upside down, my heart filled up with love as my mind emptied itself of all the different worries, fears and concerns that I had when I carried him. Everyone wants their child to be perfect and with Trig that's exactly what we got."

"Everyone worries about what the future will hold for their new born child. With Trig we have hopes and concerns and dreams just as we do for all of our children.

Greta Interviews Sarah Palin

Greta interviews Sarah Palin on different topics. This took place five weeks after Governor Palin was selected by Senator Mc Cain as his running mate as Vice President. She talks about the many things we can do to become energy independent as a nation. She agrees about drilling at Amwar. She says that as Americans we have gotten very lax in conserving energy. She says that her energy program is differnt from the Democrats in that we need to stop depending on foreign oil.

In the words of Sarah Palin during the vice presidential debate: "When we talk about energy, we have to consider the need to do all that we can to allow this nation to become energy-independent. It's a nonsensical position that we are in when we have domestic supplies of energy all over this great land. And East Coast politicians who don't allow energy-producing states like Alaska to produce these, to tap into them, and instead we're relying on foreign countries to produce for us.". Bristol Palin and Teenage Pregnancy

Teenage Pregnancy is Still a Call For Attention!

By Alice March

Bristol Palin went on television recently in a bold move. She called a press conference without her mother's knowledge. The interviewer asked her probing questions and Bristol gave honest, thoughtful answers. She admitted that abstinence among teen-agers is not working and is a naïve position to take, as teens are definitely interested in sex. She shared that she's glad to be a new mother for all the joys motherhood brings but she'd rather have entered motherhood ten years later, when she had a career, a home and a marriage. She also admitted that she now realizes that she cannot just be concerned about herself, as she's responsible for another human being. In essence, she has really cut short her adolecence, a time of making choices and learning by taking risks and developing personal skills, boundaries and strengths.

Research has shown that teen-age pregnancy is fraught with emotional roots and stresses. Teens need and want someone to love them, to care about them, to give them attention. They think that their babies will give that to them. Then there are always the group that believes they'll get money to support themselves and their children. Then there are those who have children to make up for all the connections and attention they didn't get in their own childhoods. We certainly have a current example of that with the woman who just had eight babies after IVF treatments. She's a single mother also.

During the interview, I watched Bristol and saw what I thought was probably a common enough occurrence in the Palin family. When grandmother Sarah entered the set with Bristol's baby, all the attention went to Sarah; I watched Bristol as she witnessed this. She actually looked pained and excluded by her mothers presence. Sarah energetically took up all the "air" in the room, immediately got the interviewer's attention and kept it.

I am just witnessing and speculating. Bristol is the first born and probably did not get enough of the attention she needed in her childhood. She got more than her mother's attention with her pregnancy- she got the whole worlds by accident, by design?

Clearly I believe what I've been saying for years. The kind of attention we get in our childhoods lives with us forever; in fact, the kind of attention that our parents get in their childhood lives with us forever. I am seeing this more and more all around me. Sarah Palin, former Miss Wasilla, Beauty Queen, obviously needs lots of attention and gets it. This need is problematic for her eldest daughter, Bristol. However, Bristol now appears to be growing into her own brand of motherhood/adulthood. She wants to work on the issue of teen-age pregnancy. By calling her own press conference to state her newly acquired wisdom, which differs from her families', Bristol is certainly showing up as her own person.

That's what growth is all about: using our life experiences to gain knowledge and go on to share the lessons.

Sarah Palin Getting Attacked on Abstinence

Abstinence on Trial in the Media

By A Bonilla

With the Levi Johnston interview on Tyra Banks' show, the issue of-abstinence-is once again on trial. The prevailing verdict is that it doesn't work. The high profile youthful pregnancies of people like Jaime Lynn Spears, Brittany's sister and Bristol Palin, Sarah Palin's daughter would appear to prove the ineffectiveness of the-abstinence-message. The young women who became pregnant were portrayed as wholesome young ladies from families that supported the-abstinence-until marriage message. Yet in spite of the strong culture of responsible sexuality these young women and many like them are becoming pregnant in their teens, and are single mothers.

The assumption is that these young women were not protected by the education that is provided through comprehensive sexual education. That education, when provided by competent educators would teach a young person about the dangers of sexual activity without the use of protection. It would allow them to make informed decision about their choice of birth control, and would empower them so that they are not hampered by an unwanted pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases. Because their families were such strong supporters of the abstinence until marriage message, it is further assumed that the young women may have engaged in sex without protection because of shame, or naiveté.

These assumptions are challenged however by several factors. Just the general knowledge that is easily assessable to teens and young women today makes it highly unlikely, unless they are raised in a commune cut off from the world at large, that they are unaware of the purpose and use of birth control. Secondly, these young women and their partners were not under constant guard (secret service, paparazzi); they were able to purchase condoms and other forms of birth control if they were so inclined. There may be some truth to the belief that knowledge that these young women were engaging in sexual activity would not be greeted with acceptance in their families, however, there are no grounds to believe that their families would have responded by disowning or in anyway harshly disciplining them. To our knowledge neither of these families followed Sharia law, so these young women had no basis to expect anything more than parental disappointment, and perhaps initial anger. In addition to all the above, there is always the expectation that there may have been some education provided in an academic setting. After all they still have the health curriculum that tells students how children are born and the dangers of contracting sexually transmitted diseases?

The snippet of the Tyra Banks show that I was able to see showed Tyra asking the probing question about the use of birth control. Levi answered the way most knowledgeable people answer. He started off stating that he and Bristol used birth control and were consistent about it. Tyra, skeptical, challenged his reply and asked about the use of birth control again. It was only after a third attempt on her part to break his story that he revealed that it was most of the time as opposed to all the time, in other words they were not consistent. What does that mean; it means that we cannot blame the condom for this pregnancy. But it also means that we cannot blame the abstinence message either. Abstinence didn't fail this couple, and probably didn't fail Jaime Lynn either. They had been given the information about abstinence until marriage, and they had also received information about the use of birth control. They made a choice to forgo the abstinence message in favor of the one that says don't engage in unprotected sex. They however were not able to keep up with the adult responsibility of remaining consistent about the use of contraceptives. Even adults have difficulty being consistent with important things; the only difference is that most are in a position to handle the subsequent consequences of these adult choices. Unmarried teenagers generally are not.

The abstinence message is not about taking away a young person's choices, nor is it about restricting their life and potential happiness. Quite the opposite! It's about protecting their future by keeping open all their options. A pregnant teen's options are significantly narrowed. And sexual activity outside of marriage, while providing short term gratification, invites long term consequences that few teens are prepared for. A seventeen year old who becomes a parent and chooses to parent their child is looking at minimally 18 years of putting her child first. That is if she plans to parent in a healthy way. That brings her to thirty five, and only if that first child is not followed by several others. Though thirty five cannot be considered old by any measure, achieving that age while parenting means that the persons' twenties are not about finding themselves but about caring and meeting the needs of their child(ren). The abstinence message recognizes that a young person's health, dreams, and future are important and it offers the only 100% guaranteed means of providing protection against an unwanted pregnancy and STD. No other program of education can make that claim. One thing is certain however, neither program is effective if not followed consistently as Levi and many others in his position have found out.

Sarah Palin is a Winner

Sarah Palin is a Winner and That is Her Allure

By Lance Winslow

The United States public is completely fascinated with Sarah "Barracuda" Palin, Governor of Alaska and now Vice Presidential Candidate. From the moment she hit the National Stage she was an instant success, nothing she was not familiar with in her neck of the woods. Nevertheless the American People had not known her at a national level. Her stardom has been completely incredible and yet some do not see the allure.

Well, if you are one of these unfortunate folks that does not see the reason people like her so much and are so interested in what she has to say and what she has to offer out nation, then let me break it down for you. Sarah Palin-is-a-winner, she is all that America is about, and she stands tall in her convictions and will not take any garbage from anyone, nor should she.

America needs more great leaders like Sarah Palin, and yes, there are a lot-of-winners in this great country of ours, yet so few willing to run for public office and stick their necks out like her and take a risk. If anyone thinks she has not proved herself yet, they will soon enough and she is definitely someone to watch in American Politics. Few have captured the passion of American tradition like Sarah Palin.

Americans-are-winners, we are a nation of winners. Great people from all over the world have come here to build our country and make it what it is today. Sarah Palin represents all that and more and that is her allure. Think on that.

Todd Palin

Todd Palin the husband of Governor Sarah Palin is known as the first Dude

As for Todd's maternal side, his mother was born in Yolo County, California under the name of Marguerite Blanche Roberts. Kallstrom is her current husband's surname. Her parents are Bill Roberts and Helena Bartman. Bill Roberts her father died when Blanche was about four years old.

His grandmother, Helena is half-Yup'ik. Her mother was Amalia, a full blooded Yup'ik from Bristol Bay. Her father was William Hugo Bartman who was from the Netherlands. Helena wrote her life history in a book called We Alaskans by Sharon Bushell, published 2002. I would recommend reading that to learn more about her roots.

Todd worked for BP Oil in the North Slope oil fields of Alaska. He is also a commercial salmon fisherman at Bristol Bay on the Nushugak River. He is a four-time winner of the Tesoro Iron Dog Championship (snowmobile event).

This contest is the world’s longest snowmobile race, which parallels the path of the Iditarod race with an extra journey of several hundred miles to Fairbanks added.

Tax Views of Sarah Palin

The Tax Views of Sarah Palin

By Roni Deutch

Energy-Tax-Rebates:
In her own state of Alaska, Palin proposed a monthly $100 rebate for all Alaskans to help deal with energy and fuel prices. She soon dumped the monthly idea and decided to make it a flat rebate of $1,200 instead. However, criticism rose almost immediately because the flat rate did not suit every Alaskan's needs, as fuel prices and demand are different in every region.

Balanced Budget and Tax-Relief:
As soon as Palin was elected as Governor she carried out a campaign promise and sold a corporate jet purchased by her predecessor for $2.1 million on eBay. Determined to reduce State Budget, she then signed the largest operating budget in Alaska history, $6.6 billion. She also slashed hundreds of construction projects in Alaska, cutting $237 million from the construction budget. The closure of some projects was applauded, while others were criticized, but the state needed the funds regardless of popularity.

In 2007 Palin took on the biggest construction project, the infamous, "Bridge to Nowhere", which she had originally wanted to rebuild but then later opposed. "She made the final decision to kill a very bad project, so she deserves credit for that. But she didn't do it as an ideological opponent of earmarks. She did it as someone who had to balance the books," Keith Ashdown, a tax-investigator told the Washington post.

Oil-Taxes:
Alaska's economy and way of life has come to depend strongly on oil wealth. Palin proposed a $750 million oil-tax-increase, which eventually came to $1.5 billion. As soon as the bill was approved in the state's legislature, Palin signed it into law. However, she has also fought hard to try to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for drilling, which many environmentalists and citizens across the country strongly opposed. The people of Alaska however, who's economy depends on oil, agree with the drilling.

Dairy Farm Closure:
One of Palin's more controversial finance choices was her choice to keep a state-owned dairy farm open. The Alaska creamery board recommended that the Matanuska Maid Dairy be closed, but Palin decided to keep it against their advice. Controversy arose when Palin replaced the entire membership of the Board of Agriculture and conservatism (the only people who could fire or hire members of the Alaska creamery board). In 2007, it became clear that the business was unprofitable and not worth keeping. At that time, Palin decided to just sell the farm.

Sales-Tax-Increase:
As mayor of Wasilla, Palin followed through promises to reduce property-taxes as well as her own salary. However, she did have to raise the sales-taxes by almost half a percent to pay for an indoor ice rink and sports facility though. The project would cost over $15 million to build, but could greatly stimulate small town's economy. The tax-increase was necessary to pay for the ice rink, as the state had already spent their budget on road and sewer projects. Palin pushed to have the sports facility built quickly, before the city had a clear title, and got a bad reputation as the property was in litigation for 7 years.

Sarah Palin Glasses May Work Wonders For You As Well

By Suzanne Hughes

The 2008 American Presidential Elections have been historic for many reasons. One reason is the fact that the Elections saw the Sarah Palin glasses acquiring cult status throughout the country. Most of the women in America are opting for similar eyewear when purchasing their prescriptions.

What is the reason behind the immense popularity of these specs? The conservatively styled Sarah Palin's eyewear have a very unique and interesting design. The rimless glasses have redefined the meaning of the phrase 'sleek and elegant'. The custom made portion are set in Kawasaki standard frame. The set worn by Sarah Palin herself is the combination of 34-grey color and the Kawasaki 704 frame.

The primary reason behind the sudden spurt in the demand for designer sunglasses among the American women is Sarah Palin. Her conservatively styled frames have become popular throughout the nation. The popularity can be attributed to the fact that they seem to be invisible and non-existent when they are worn. This effect has helped Sarah Palin communicate with the public better. Today, every woman wants to own her own pair.

Considering the huge popularity of the style of eyeglasses worn by Palin, it is no surprise that the manufacturers of these are offering a wide range of designer frames named after Sarah Palin. A leading manufacturer of prescription eyeglasses, Best Price Glasses, too provides a wide range of Palin style eyeglasses.

The Governor of Alaska, has a very unique and distinctive face structure. She has recognized this and used the uniquely designed frames of her frames to enhance her overall personality. With the help of them, she makes a style statement without even saying a word. Her frames make her look sophisticated and stylish without any snootiness or arrogance.

The most distinctive characteristic of the eyeglasses is that they enhance her beauty without distracting the attention of the audience. They are so subtly understated that one never realizes that Sarah is wearing them. When you look at her, your mind registers nothing but her stylish, charming and emotive face.

An analysis of the set up of her frames and face helps us understand the effect better. The rectangular shape of the frames and the meeting of them near the temple creates an illusion that the glasses are placed lower than they actually are. The shape of the glass is perfect for the oval face of Sarah Palin. They are placed such that the eyebrows seem to form an outline over the upper portion of the lens.

The sensation surrounding Sarah Palin's eye wear is the result of the unique design of the glasses as well as the unique structure of her face. Today, we find these glasses being worn by people all over the country.

If you like Sarah Palin's frames, get a pair from a reputed seller. However, do keep in mind that the structure of the face is a defining factor. If your face structure is not suited for such type of glasses, then even Sarah Palin's will not make you look as good as her. Opt for ones only if your face structure is suitable for such frames.

Political views aside, it would be tough to argue that the Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, does not look great in her glasses. What is the secret to finding a pair of glasses that make you look smart and sexy all at the same time? The answer may surprise you.

Sarah Palin's New Politics

Sarah Palin's New Politics

By Iacchos Deru

What happens when you are a governor from a sparsely populated state with a reputation as a clean politician which leads to your nomination for Vice President of the United States?

Sarah Palin can give you that answer. It seems that Ms. Palin's support amongst her own state's citizenship is waning. She was immensely popular amongst Alaskans before her nomination for Vice President on the GOP ticket with Senator John McCain (R-AZ). She was known for her tough willingness to clean out the "good old boys network" which dominated Alaskan politics. Changing the Alaskan political scene was only part of the reason her constituents loved her.

For all intents and purposes, Sarah Palin was considered by most to be a down to earth Alaskan with small town values. This served to start her political career by securing the Mayor's seat in the town of Wasilla. Her popularity increased allowing her to succeed in obtaining the Governorship of Alaska. Just two short years into her first gubernatorial term, her popularity and reputation as a political outsider gained her the nod from the Republican Party for the Vice Presidential candidate.

To be sure, this small town mayor turned Governor, certainly lacked the political savvy to seriously compete with the "big boys" on the National political scene. But Palin is a quick study and McCain provided her with great coaches. She was soon making quite a scene politically.

It is viewed by most political pundits as a brilliant strategic move by McCain to recruit a relatively unknown outsider (and woman) to be his running mate. He could not have chosen more wisely. With his poll numbers lagging behind then Senator Obama, his choice for running mate jumped his popularity to almost equal with the junior Senator from Illinois. Unfortunately, the McCain/Palin ticket was never able to quite match the momentum and charisma of the Obama/Biden ticket.

During her campaign stint for the GOP, Palin was subjected to considerable scrutiny by the mainstream media who could find very little to ridicule. Her obvious lack of experience could not be focused upon as they were busy trying to exploit Obama's same lack of experience. Obviously, this worked to Obama's advantage as McCain could not focus much on Obama's inexperience without being hypocritical.

It wasn't until one of Palin's political enemies in Alaska stepped forward with a ridiculous lawsuit that the media had anything worthwhile to ridicule. Unfortunately for Palin's rival, this backfired as once the facts became known, most people just considered the lawsuit to be from a disgruntled former employee and few gave it any credibility.

Palin, in the meantime, was living the lifestyle of the ridiculously famous. She was frequently seen exhibiting an expensive wardrobe she could never have afforded on her Governor's salary. She hobnobbed with the wealthy power elite and Hollywood stars. She met with foreign dignitaries and earned a reputation as a simple but bright and quick person. Perhaps a bit naïve to the realities of Washington politics. But, of course, that was exactly what McCain was hoping to achieve. Ultimately, though, her naivety proved to be the downfall of the McCain/Palin ticket.

Returning home to Alaska shortly after the election, Palin realized that she enjoyed her brief exposure to "real" politics. Alaskan politics is not the same as in the lower 48 states. Most Alaskans don't really care what happens to the rest of the country. The climate and geography of the nation's largest state dictates a very different lifestyle and attitude than is found in the rest of the country. Alaskans tend to be self-reliant, responsible, neighborly and plain-spoken folk.

Except in the lower portions of the state (Ketchikan, Juneau, etc.) the climate is harsh. The population of the largest city in Alaska tops out around a half million. The rest of the state's population is spread out over a land area roughly equivalent to two-thirds the area of the continental U.S. Fiercely independent with a strong belief in personal responsibility, Alaskans have little use for the selfish and materialistic nature of the rest of the country. Americans in the lower 48 are looked down upon by Alaskans as barely worth noticing only because our politics tends to have adverse effects on their state.

This attitude is not unwarranted. With the governments constant attempts to take control of Alaska's Perma-fund (the revenues from it would balance our budget), its incessant efforts to irresponsibly exploit its natural resources, and never ending endeavor to undermine Alaskan laws and culture, Alaskans are, quite frankly, ready to secede from the Union. In fact, the secession movement has gained quite a membership in the past decade.

The political climate in Alaska did not change while Governor Palin was away. However, Palin did change. Politics and fame became her addiction. Armed with the professional coaching she had received on the campaign trail, Palin returned to Alaska more of a politician than when she left. This new attitude did not sit well with her people. They were expecting the old Sarah to return and continue on her original course. Perhaps political naivety is common amongst all Alaskans.

Palin began playing politics like a pro. She took what she needed for herself and for her hometown of Wasilla and was content to let the rest of the state fend for themselves. Many political pundits are currently hailing her as a possible Presidential nominee for the GOP in 2012. They point to the fact that she refused 30% of the stimulus money offered Alaska from the Federal government. What those pundits did not see was that in doing so, Palin has alienated Alaskans.

The money she refused would have been for programs that Alaska would actually welcome Federal involvement. Programs like vocational rehabilitation, education and special needs citizens (like Palin's own child). Rather than accept money for these programs, Palin accepted some of the money and then promptly assigned it to her hometown of Wasilla for the construction of a new bridge. One that Wasilla doesn't need. One that goes nowhere.

The people of Alaska are also enraged that Palin did not defend the controversial "bridges to nowhere" which were actually necessary projects. One of the bridges connected the island of Ketchikan to its airport and one connected another small town to a hospital. But Palin saw no need to defend these endeavors. Rather, she succumbed to political pressure to remain silent.

In the next general election cycle, the GOP is going to need a very strong candidate to overcome the popularity and brilliant campaign strategy of President Obama. Palin is certainly one who can achieve that goal now that America has overcome its reluctance to only elect white males to that office. All Governor Palin has to do is survive her current political crisis long enough to be re-elected. If she can manage that, she just may make it through the primaries.

What ia SarahPAC?

SarahPAC and Sarah Palin Comin' Atcha!

By Taylor Raimee

It has been very entertaining reading, listening to and watching the responses of people on both sides of the political aisle when SarahPAC-the new political action committee connected to Sarah Palin - was revealed.

The state reasons for the new committee is centered around becoming energy independent, evidently the center from which Sarah Palin will move forward with whatever political aspirations she may have beyond being Governor of Alaska.

On the-SarahPAC-website it says-SarahPAC-came into existence because "the Republican Party is at the threshold of an historic renaissance that will build a better future for all. Health care, education, and reform of government are among our key goals."

Along with her focus on energy independence, Governor Palin also talks a lot about integrity of government and political candidates, along with battling to retain the freedoms we enjoy, while also being creative and innovative in governing. Palin has of course walked the walk as she helped to clean up some of the corruption in Alaska politics, even when it involved her own party members.

Part of the mission of-SarahPAC-will be to raise funds for political candidates with a similar vision for the country as Sarah Palin, as well as support them and help them to win the races they're running in.

As the Senator Saxby Chambliss can say through experience, having Sarah Palin on your side and backing you can be the difference between winning and losing.

This is why this should be an exciting committee to watch to see what Governor Palin and her supporters do with it. Palin could possibly do more to change national politics in both parties with what she does with SarahPAC, than if she even wins the presidency in the future, if she decides to run for it.

Birthing a new generation of conservative candidates who are tired of politics as usual will change the political landscape without a doubt.

Palin has as much popularity as any conservative candidate since Ronald Reagan. Now she seems to have a platform and vehicle to not only use it for helping further her political career, but more importantly, to motivate a potential army of future politicians that embrace the same values she does.

This, more than anything, is what truly scares her opponents; both within and without her party. Sarah Palin is going to shake things up whether she ever goes beyond being governor of Alaska, and that will probably be more important and lasting than anything she achieves individually. Either way, it's not going to be boring over the next four to eight years with politics in America.

Sarah Palin and SarahPAC are already shaking up people, and it's barely gotten off the ground. That speaks a lot to the power and influence she wields.

Palin Glasses

Palin Glasses

Why Does Sarah Palin Look So Good in Her Glasses?

There is a big fuss about Sarah Palin's stylish glasses. Sarah Palin's glasses were made by Kazuo Kawasaki and cost around $400. The reason she looks so good in her designer glasses is because she chose the reading glasses that fit the shape of her face. Oval, round and diamond are the main face shapes. An oval shaped face should be able to wear about any kind of glasses but try and go for wide glasses that extend beyond the sides of the face.

A round shape face should focus on reading glasses that make the face look longer and thinner. They should definitely be wider than they are deep. The diamond shaped face should go for rimless, square or with a straight top that is curved at the bottom.

Besides being trendy, hip and fitting the shape of your face, reading glasses should be thin, light and comfortable so you feel as if you aren't wearing them at all. There is no doubt that a great pair of prescription or reading glasses will help one look more professional and more fashionable.

Just like a great handbag or pair of shoes, reading eye glasses are an accessory that will enhance your overall look and help you make a fashion statement. Whether you want to look glamorous with a pair of sleek, rimless reading glasses or show your wild side with animal print reading glasses and rhinestone reading glasses, you can show off your inner style without breaking your budget.

Wearing reading glasses out in the sun has traditionally been a bad experience. The glare is terrible and the lenses do not particularly protect your eyes from the UV rays. If you have ever bought the bulky thing that clips on your prescription or reading glasses, then you know it is uncomfortable and that it makes you look somewhat like a fly. Reading sunglasses look terrific and also protect your eyes from the harmful UV rays of the sun.

Relieve Stress and Sarah Palin

By Dr Jeff Bailey

The local paper has outlined seven challenges for Sarah Palin, our returning Governor of Alaska, five days after the presidency was decided. This article explores the stress that underlies these challenges. I discussed federal relations and eternal suspicion of Sarah's motives in a previous article. In this article are covered several of the other challenges.

The Challenges Increase and the Stress Builds For Sarah Palin

Katie Couric, in her very influential CBS interview, laid the groundwork for the next challenge - political seasoning. One of the outcomes of the campaign was the feeling that Sarah did not have sufficient national and international experience. Will she try to balance gaining this experience against running the state - and how much stress will this cause her - to be true to herself and Alaska?

There is little doubt that working with the State legislature will no longer be as stress free as it was prior to her placement on the vice presidential ticket. Carving up the Republican good old boy network will not have helped in her political party and local resentment over the sacking of Walt Monegan will keep the pressure on her for some time to come.

One of the challenges for Sarah is to work out how to deal with friends and family. While she might have appointed long term friends to important positions and permitted her husband Todd to be too involved in the business of government, any similar moves in the future will bring her under immediate pressure.

A more interesting source of stress is the media, especially after her trenchant criticisms of the national press. On her return to Alaska it was great to see that she spent time talking openly and freely with the press. Her way of reducing and relieving stress over recent criticisms by the press was to respond to some of their charges and unjustified critiques. To continue to relieve stress and to get her message out there clearly and openly, she will need to return to her frank, honest, transparent self.

No one doubts that she will do this, not only to manage the stress, but because she has a strong sense of pride and purpose. At the end of the day, leaving aside admirers and detractors, Sarah Palin has earned a very significant place in American political history. She was the first woman to have the opportunity for the American people to vote her to the vice presidency of the United States of America - and this is a phenomenal achievement for a young woman from Wasilla, Alaska.

Dr Jeff, a psychologist, writes about stress. In this article he describes the sustained pressure on Sarah Palin as the returning governor of Alaska. People need to learn how to manage stress and they need help to relieve stress. Dr Bailey integrates sound research with extensive clinical knowledge from his therapy with his patients. He works hard to make his articles practical and helpful but all of his articles are based on sound research evidence. Palin - Personal and Political, Pathetically Un-Professional

By Lance Winslow
The opposition party completely trashed Sarah-"Barracuda"-Palin, Vice Presidential Candidate during the 2008 elections. This is rather unfortunate because she has really done a nice job in Alaska for her constituency. That's politics as they say, but how unfortunate that the media blew stuff so far out of proportion, turning rumors and innuendos into urban myths.

Sarah-Palin was not even the Vice Presidential nominee for the Republican Party for 3-days before the mass media, spurred on by her political opponents were in Alaska digging up dirt out of anything they could find. It was a huge case of vicious attack games and it was truly disgusting to watch anyone do such a thing. These negative campaigning tricks went on throughout the election.
Even after the election, the opposing political operatives began spreading rumors to destroy Sarah-Palin's credibility and personal character. Why? So, she would not run for higher office again of course. The rumors that were posted on blogs actually made it into the mainstream media.

One story proclaimed that Sarah Palin answered the door of her hotel room only dressed in a bath towel. The rumor turned out to be false even though it hit the AP. There were several other distasteful rumors reported. What did Sarah Palin say about this;

"The personal attacks were cruel and it's mean-spirited, it's immature, it's unprofessional, and those guys are jerks"

You know what? She's right, politics in our nation have sunken to an all time low. These disgusting and despicable attacks are the exact reason that so many great Americans never seek to serve at all levels of government. And for that reason, we end up with the leaders we have. These personal character attacks need to stop. Please think on this.

Positive Sarah Palin facts counteracting negative reports.

This site is written with admiration for Governor Sarah Palin and to counteract the malicious lies that have been blogged on the internet and reported in the media. I am not a political person, but I was intrigued when this Governor of Alaska was first introduced to the American public in the 2008 Republican convention by Senator John McCain as his VP running mate. However the politics aspect was not and still is not my fascination. Bristol Palin is interviewed on "On The Record" with Greta Sustern.
She talks about her mom's and dad's reaction to her pregnancy. She was 18 when she gave birth and was treated mean by the media. Greta asked her is this what she expected? She said she wished it happened in 10 years and not now.

She said that people in the tabloids are just evil with their articles of unfair gossip, but she has a strong family and is able to get through this with her family's help. She has sisters, parents and grandparents, great grandparents and aunts and cousins. who are very helpful. She still has plans to continue her education. Governor Palin remarks that she didn't know how others make it with out he help of family.

Governor Palin discovered that her daughter was pregnant, when Bristol asked her mother, "Mom, what is the worse thing that could happen?" Of course, Governor Palin said she could think of a lot of things.

However she didn't break the news to her mom, it was her friend that revealed the pregnancy of Bristol>

I was intrigued over a conservative mother who is balancing a family and career with the support of her husband Todd the first Dude or First Gentleman. The news reports and so called comedians such as Joy Behar on the daily show called The View. and David Letterman who never allow an opportunity to pass without throwing a distasteful comment about Sarah-Palin. It is reported that Letterman made at least 95 jokes about Sarah Palin since the election. In addiction. the news media reports are always mostly negative. Most of it is not about her political career as a Governor of Alaska, but gossip about her family. In June, 1009 David Letterman makes a sick joke about her daughter getting knocked up by A-Rod "Alex Rodriguez" a Yankees's third baseman. The daughter that accompanied her to the game was 14 year old Willow. I read many of the blogs on the internet and it never ceases to amaze me how bloggers are also continuosly putting down the Governor and her family. Many of them don't see anything wrong with what Letterman said Then there is the interview of Matt Lauer with the Governor on the Today Show, where he harshly questioned her about Letterman. It appeared to me that he was taking up for David Letterman an over 62 year old man making a joke about a man and a teenager. So, these are the reasons that I feel so passionate about dedicating positive information about Governor Sarah Palin on this site. This site will introduce to you to her daily life, her family, her political views, events in her life, her environment and how she handles the terrible comments that were made and are still being made about her and her family.
